Conquer the world's highest mountain together!

Start your wellbeing journey with a challenge that will bring your work community together and motivate you to increase everyday activity in an easy and inspiring way.

In the Mount Everest challenge, your expedition team works together to conquer the world's highest mountain and challenges one another to take the necessary steps to reach the top.

In this four-week challenge, you and your team climb to the top of the world's highest mountain by collecting steps. The participants start from the basecamp, from where the journey continues onwards. When progressing on the game board, you unlock milestones that provide insights about the actual ascent of Mount Everest.

The mountain can be conquered by collecting 10,000 steps per day. In addition to everyday activity, the participant can earn bonus steps by logging exercises and micro actions of wellbeing on HeiaHeia.

Challenge details

✔️ The goal: Reach the top of Mount Everest in 4 weeks

Mount Everest-challenge activates people and is an easy way to organize fun joint activities. Participate as an individual or with your team, the choice is yours. In this fun challenge you’ll unlock milestones and get to conquer Mount Everest.

Participate together

Gather teams from within your community or organization and compete playfully to see which team or individual will be the first to reach the Moon. Good cooperation is the key to success, the more participants the merrier! We recommend teams of 2-8 people.

All activity counts

You succeed when you contribute an average of 10,000 steps/day. Connect a wearable device (Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Fitbit, Apple Watch) or phone’s health app (Google fit, Apple Health) to HeiaHeia to collect steps and earn bonus steps by logging exercises or doing micro actions in the HeiaHeia.

Progress and unlock content

Follow the progress on the virtual game board in real time. Make entries in HeiaHeia and progress towards milestones and finish line. When you reach a milestone, fun and motivational content opens up for you.

How to participate

✔️ Log steps manually in HeiaHeia

Earn bonus steps by logging exercise

In the HeiaHeia, you can find more than 600 different sports and forms of exercise, from intense crossfit to ice climbing. Whether you prefer exercising on a yoga mat or on the back of your bicycle, you can conquer Mount Everest doing your favorite sport.

By logging an exercise to HeiaHeia, you earn bonus steps and every minute you move takes you closer to the top of Mount Everest. For every 30 minutes you move, you earn 2,500 steps.

Earn bonus steps by logging micro actions of wellbeing

 

This challenge includes 5 micro actions, each worth +500 bonus steps. For example, by drinking a liter of water during the day and logging it on HeiaHeia, you earn +500 bonus steps.
