The Basics of HeiaHeia Challenges

A 4- to 12-week community target, where teams and individuals progress towards a common goal with wellbeing actions, unlocking fun, informative and/or rewarding milestones along the way.

Participants log (or automatically import from their smart device) their activities to their HeiaHeia account. The progress of the challenge is tracked in the company's private HeiaHeia community.

A wellbeing challenge is a fun project for the whole work community, which has been proven to increase wellbeing and team spirit, as well as supporting any additional themes that may be relevant for the company.

Mind Your Wellbeing Challenge

Organise a fun and communal challenge where you promote mental wellbeing individually and collectively at your workplace!

In this HeiaHeia challenge, teams and individuals progress on a game board by earning wellbeing points. Points are earned through micro actions that support mental wellbeing, as well as numerous other actions (such as steps, exercise, and cheering). Along the way, participants unlock content packages on six everyday life themes that support mental wellbeing and have the opportunity to reflect on their implementation in daily life.

The challenge is not a competition. Supporting each other and promoting mental wellbeing in our everyday lives is more important than the final ranking.

Rules of the Challenge


Participate as an individual and with your team

The aim is to succeed both as an individual and with your team. If you wish, you can also follow the progress of other participants and teams on the map.


Collect 7500 points per day

You succeed in the challenge and progress through the game board by collecting an average of 7500 points per day.


Your mental wellbeing says thank you

Take steps towards better mental wellbeing by collecting points for small daily actions that support mental health. These micro actions include going to bed early, calling a friend, or setting aside time for yourself.


Challenge other teams

If you wish, you can also take part in a friendly team competition with your colleagues. Follow other teams and beat the others by succeeding with your own team.




It's really easy to participate

The HeiaHeia app collects data automatically. You can also link your smart device (Polar, Garmin, Apple Watch, etc.) to HeiaHeia if you wish, but no additional devices are required to participate.

You can also manually record exercise sessions, hobbies and micro actions from a selection of over 600 activities. For those who prefer it, there is also an option to access the HeiaHeia web version.


Mind Your Wellbeing through micro actions

The power of our mental wellbeing lies in the simplicity of daily choices that eventually form routines. The selected micro actions in the challenge embody exactly those choices.

Throughout the challenge, you have the opportunity to boost your total number of points by logging micro actions as well.
